Established in 1955, Union Leasing provides flexible vehicle lease financing and highly customized fleet management services to corporate and rental customers nationwide.

The Key Account Manager will oversee the day-to-day interaction with Union Leasing's core and mid-market customers, partnering with Strategic Services and Customer Experience Administrators to deliver a premier fleet management program. The Key Account Manager is responsible for and measured on retention, growth, penetration and administration of their assigned account base through promotion of fleet management tools and best practices.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience developing and administering custom fleet management solutions for complex and diverse fleets. The Key Account Manager will be a knowledge resource for the Customer Experience team and overall Union organization.

As a Key Account Manager, Here's What You'll Do:



  • Develop and implement account strategies to maximize revenue, drive customer retention, and achieve business growth for key clients.
  • Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to key clients, identifying new opportunities and addressing challenges.
  • Increase share of customer portfolio through promotion of additional product and lease adds.
  • Expert level presentation skill set with mind toward customer growth and retention.
  • Manage assigned employees to goals and objectives.
  • Develop employees under direct management.
  • Lead regular account reviews and business updates with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Furnish superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • In partnership with Strategic Services, develop and institute and own delivery of custom fleet management solutions to assigned customers.
  • Life cycle cost analysis preparation and analysis resulting in incremental and replacement sales on existing assigned accounts.
  • Detailed involvement in the set-up process for new clients, interacting with all functional areas of the Company on behalf of the customers and Sales team.
  • Union Leasing technology suite and product expert promoting value added product uptake.
  • Incoming and outgoing communication with accounts relative to relationship building and problem resolution.
  • In partnership with the account and administrative teams, service customers and pursue issues to successful and prompt completion.
  • Generate key reports and data files. Deliver analytical data and provide recommendations on best practices to the client.
  • Assist the client with vehicle selections utilizing industry data.
  • In partnership with the account and administrative teams, complete customer requests for factory orders, out of stock vehicles, driver data changes, requested reports, and license and title issues.
  • Help customers familiarize themselves with Union Leasing's customer technology platforms.
  • Ability to understand customer's profile including unique service requirements, expectations and business/industry segment.
  • Partner with Customer Experience Administrators to implement Total Fleet Management initiatives where required.
  • Scheduled visits to customers (occasional overnight travel less than 10%).


Note: Responsibilities include the expectation to always act to support the interests of the department and organization and to perform other duties as assigned to ensure the successful achievement of departmental and company objectives.

Here's What it Will Take to be Successful in This Role:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field (or commensurate experience).
  • Ten years leasing or related experience (preferred).
  • Metrics driven - ability to manage to forecast and growth objectives.
  • Strong analytical mindset - ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
  • Capacity to meet demanding deadlines from both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively prioritize workload throughout the day based on request for service.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to provide sound problem solving, analysis, and critical thinking.
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management experience.
  • Exceptional communication written and verbal skills required.
  • Work collaboratively in a team centered work environment.


Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets, printers and fax machines. Travel as required in and out of state (15%-20%).

Working Conditions

This position will be based out of our office in Oak Brook, Illinois. Until the Company moves to Oak Brook in early 2026, this will temporarily work out of the office in Schaumburg, Illinois. If fulltime, this role also offers remote work flexibility with 3 days in office, and 2 days remote.

Compensation

The hiring range for this role is: $101,000 - $130,000 USD annual. This role is classified as exempt for purposes of all applicable wage and hour laws, which means that the individual hired is paid for the job and not by the hour, and will not be eligible for, and will not receive, overtime pay if working more than 40 hours in a workweek. This role will be paid on a semi-monthly basis.

Sasser is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Pay ranges are assigned to a job based on market data according to 3rd party salary benchmarking surveys. Actual base salary is dependent upon factors such as knowledge, skill level, and experience.
