This position is part of a team responsible for performance assessment and validation of molecular in vitro diagnostic products for global regulatory registrations. This position is part of a team responsible for performance assessment and validation of molecular in vitro diagnostic products. The Research Associate II works to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment and has the temperament to operate proactively and collaboratively in a team in support of FDA and other global regulatory submissions. Tasks willfocus onmolecular and microbiologicalexperiments andprocedures(e.g.,nucleic acid extraction, serial dilution,PCR, bacterialand fungal culture, etc.)withassociatedcollection, analysis,verificationandrecordingofdata in accordance withestablished protocols and work instruction documents,regulations, safety requirements,andthe quality system.Work is primarily collaborativeand requiresthe ability to communicate and coordinate with peers and supervisor(s) effectivelyand respectfully. Theposition requiresproficiency inlaboratorytechnical skills, organizational skills, attention todetail, critical thinking,troubleshooting andproblem-solving,data analysis, sequence analysis,and adedication tothemissionand goalsofthe department andbioMerieux.A Research AssociateIIwill normally self-direct on routine work with no or minimal instruction and general supervision andwill operate with general ordetailed instruction and general supervision on newprocedures andassignments.
