Job Purpose:

An integral part of the business development process at Sanmina is the Strategic Solutions Group ("SSG") that acts as a center-of-excellence for Sanmina's sales organization and drives Sanmina's highest priority, new business engagements. The Strategic Solutions Manager ("SSM") role is highly visible within Sanmina and key to our business development efforts. In this role, the SSM will work closely with Sales, senior management and Operations leaders in the development of proposal responses. The SSM should expect to work on a wide variety of transactions ranging from new business development opportunities, RFI/RFQ responses, customer supply chain analysis, and potential strategic transactions with customers across multiple Sanmina industries and geographies.

Nature of Duties:




  • Lead and drive the end-to-end solution development and proposal response team and process to a positive outcome for Sanmina and customers.



  • Primary customer interface on all quoting activities including schedule, deliverables and escalations.



  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and drive accountability to ensure the solution is delivered to the customer's needs and requirements.



  • Work with teams to develop high quality, professional proposals that include targeted customer value-propositions, competitive market-based pricing and corresponding terms and conditions, and illustrate Sanmina's expertise.



  • Communicate Sanmina's solution effectively and professionally with senior executives, sales leadership, and with Tesla.



  • Gather data, obtain team inputs, create financial models and other analysis to support decision making and approvals.



  • Help develop and improve the quote process and seek ways to improve the end-to-end solutioning process.



  • Be a flexible team player. Availability for travel, both domestically and internationally, as needed





Education/Experience:




  • B.S. or B.A., track record of academic achievement.



  • Requires 4-6 years of process engineering, field sales, program or project management experience.



  • Electronics Manufacturing Services industry, Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Supply Chain experience is preferred.



  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.



  • Uses professional experience to achieve objectives in creative and effective ways.



  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.



  • Deadline-oriented with excellent time management skills; ability to set priorities in a fast- paced environment with minimal supervision.



  • Strong sense of work ownership.



  • Beneficial to understand sales development processes.



  • Strong organizational skills.



  • Proficiency in all proposal and presentation production software platforms, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.




Salary range:110,000.00 - 130,000.00plus quarterly bonus.Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
