What We Do First American is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Security Intern to join our Vulnerability Management and Application Security Management Team. This unique opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity while fostering cross-team collaboration.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing vulnerabilities across various applications and systems, working closely with both teams.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of security best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the teams in conducting asset and application security assessments to ensure that our enterprise is secure from threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing regarding security initiatives and findings.
  • Help maintain documentation related to vulnerabilities and security assessments, ensuring transparency and traceability.
  • Engage in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning discussions to contribute fresh ideas and perspectives.
  • Gain exposure to security tools and technologies used in vulnerability management and application security.

What You'll Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and application security concepts.
  • 2+ year's experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.) is a plus.
  • 2+ year's experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g.,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location
