What We Do First American is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Security Intern to join our Vulnerability Management and Application Security Management Team. This unique opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity while fostering cross-team collaboration. What You'll Do: Assist in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing vulnerabilities across various applications and systems, working closely with both teams. Participate in the development and implementation of security best practices, policies, and procedures. Support the teams in conducting asset and application security assessments to ensure that our enterprise is secure from threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing regarding security initiatives and findings. Help maintain documentation related to vulnerabilities and security assessments, ensuring transparency and traceability. Engage in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning discussions to contribute fresh ideas and perspectives. Gain exposure to security tools and technologies used in vulnerability management and application security. What You'll Bring: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and application security concepts. 2+ year's experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.) is a plus. 2+ year's experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and other departments. Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location Note that the following statements only apply to candidates who will be working from an unincorporated area within Los Angeles County.
