Job Purpose

The Test Technician will be responsible for performing technician functions related to battery testing. This includes understanding of the required tests, test plan development, performing tests, and setup verification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Performs routine battery testing such as Lot Acceptance Test (LAT) in timely manner.
* Able to set the test up according to Engineering Requests (ER)
* Programming and calibration of Arbin and Neware ATE
* Verification and troubleshooting of current test setups
* Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams and test parameters
* Able to analyze, interpret, evaluate test data and generate test report
* Ensures that products and test equipment meet specifications
* Able to perform basic soldering, build test harnesses and troubleshooting

Qualifications

* Associate's Degree in electronics or electrical engineering
* 1+ years of experience in electronics and/or battery testing
* Good understanding of general electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, dataloggers and multimeters
* Surface mount and through-hole soldering skills
* Must possess problem solving and strong communication skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

General Job Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.
  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
  • Risk of electrical shock.
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime.
