A Day in the Life:

Constructs, repairs, installs and removes various machines, equipment and piping, both metal and wood, with respect to quality, safety and sanitation in an efficient manner. Responsible for trouble shooting, installation, repair of all electrical equipment, and instrumentation background is a plus. Must be qualified to work on 480 volt/3 phase electrical applications. Main responsibilities involve troubleshooting and repairing electrical applications and must be willing to work overtime and respond to call-in work.

Position Details:

Starting pay is $33.81 per hour. Regular schedule will be Monday-Friday 7a-3p.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Reads and interprets drawings and layouts.
  • Sets up and operates the equipment necessary to perform all functions of the craft.
  • Installs, maintains, replaces, moves or removes equipment, machines and piping or any other production or maintenance devices.
  • Installs and maintains insulation on equipment, piping, ducts and spouting.
  • Makes repairs to and checks machines and equipment for correct operation.
  • Performs all operations necessary for the construction, installation and repair of equipment and devices designated.
  • Performs the lining of conveyors.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area and removes material and equipment from job site.
  • Rebuild, repair, replace damaged, defective, or worn parts
  • Troubleshoot, locate, identify, or diagnose electrical malfunction
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems or components
  • Test electrical circuits, components or systems
  • Test electrical system for faulty connections

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 4 year apprenticeship program and/or 8 years of equivalent maintenance experience
  • Good organizational and communication skills
