Are you an experienced financial leader with a passion for guiding nonprofit organizations toward financial success? Hunter Hamilton is working with our client who is seeking a Senior Manager to act as a Financial Director Consultant for nonprofit clients. This remote role offers the opportunity to lead a team of seven, drive strategic financial planning, and implement cutting-edge financial technology solutions.


What You'll Do:


  • Develop multi-year strategic financial plans and forecasts for nonprofit clients.



  • Present financial results to boards and management teams with clear insights.



  • Ensure year-round audit readiness and compliance.



  • Leverage top financial software solutions to automate budgets, forecasting, and analysis; utilize Excel-based modeling as needed.



  • Lead a team providing strategic financial services to nonprofit organizations.



  • Oversee software implementations and develop best practice templates.



  • Manage team priorities and capacity to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.



  • Enhance the team's client experience skills in alignment with training programs.




What We're Looking For:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.



  • 7+ years of experience in nonprofit accounting, advisory, or attest services.



  • Experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks (QBO).



  • Skilled in software implementations, financial planning, budgeting, cost management, and cost allocation.



  • Expertise in project and change management.



  • Experience with at least two different types of nonprofit organizations preferred.



  • Experience in a nonprofit advisory practice preferred.



  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, SUMIFS, conditional statements, pivot tables, graphs, and charts).



  • Strong quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills, with a focus on automation and efficiency.



  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative and adaptable mindset.
