Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated intern to join our Homebuilding Intern Program. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience in three key departments: Land, Purchasing, and Construction. The ideal candidates should be in their penultimate year of study (one or two semesters left before graduation) and eager to gain insight into the homebuilding industry while making meaningful contributions to our projects.

Program Structure:

The internship program is structured into three 4-week rotations across the following departments:

    Land Department
  1. Purchasing Department
  2. Construction Department

Each department offers a unique experience and insight into how the homebuilding operation functions as a whole. Interns will spend 4 weeks in each department, with the goal of developing a hands-on understanding of department-specific processes and how they contribute to the overall business.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Department Rotation: Interns will rotate through the Land, Purchasing, and Construction departments, gaining exposure to each area's operations, strategies, and workflows.
  • Meaningful Contributions: Interns will be assigned projects that contribute directly to the department's work product. Examples may include conducting research on competitors for land acquisition opportunities, analyzing data, preparing reports, assisting with project planning, and more. Interns will not be assigned menial tasks or busy work.
  • Collaboration: Interns will have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from key team members across all levels of the departments. This includes participating in meetings, project discussions, and department-specific activities.
  • Professional Development: Interns will have regular check-ins with managers to discuss progress, feedback, and career development. This is an opportunity to ask questions, seek advice, and gain insights into the industry.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program (e.g., Business, Real Estate, Construction Management, Engineering, etc.) with one to two semesters remaining before graduation.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • A demonstrated interest in the homebuilding industry or a related field.
