Aon is looking for a Head of Construction & Infrastructure

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as the lead of our Construction & Infrastructure business group within Aon Commercial Risk Solutions. You will be charged leading growth, strategy and innovation for C&I and Surety in the U.S. This role reports directly to the CEO of Commercial Risk and will collaborate closely with all relevant geography and Global Broking Centers.

Your impact:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive growth strategy for Construction & Infrastructure, including the Surety business
  • Build strategy for best-in-class, improved or new product offerings, specifically with an emphasis on innovation within the construction industry.
  • Ensure C&I maintains preferred relationships with all key insurers, to include regularly scheduled annual or biannual meetings with key partners.
  • Create and maintain structured portfolio solutions (SPSs) as advised by the CEO.
  • Maintain, monitor and manage consistent commission rates across all product lines, including fee accounts. This will include establishing and maintaining an escalation process.
  • Work directly with Commercial Risk leadership team around overall strategy execution.
  • Manage C&I and Surety Leaders, providing guidance and assistance to assure all responsibilities are performed to appropriately corporate standards

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15-20 years' experience in the insurance industry
  • Construction industry specific expertise
  • Validated collaboration skills to successfully innovate and influence internally and externally, maximising thought leadership in pursuit of greater client, partner and Aon outcomes
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate sophisticated messages in written form
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Strong work ethic

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $300,000 - $500,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, NY. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
