Work Schedule Monday- Friday, 8AM-5PM( 30-40 hrs/week)

Minimum Experience/Education

  • 1-2 years of experience in academic advising, student services, or a related field, with a focus on working with undergraduate students.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills in the areas of judgment, decision-making, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively and independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn, University, College, and Departmental policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in social media, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, instructional software (Moodle, Blackboard, Zoom, etc.)
  • Demonstrated understanding of the developmental needs of college students


Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
  • An understanding of Political Science as an academic discipline
