Your Role on the Team The Principal Admit Worker (PAW) is the first contact to our patients when they come in the door, so their individual professionalism, friendly and accommodating personality is essential to the success of the Patient Experience. The PAW works with multiple disciplines to manage the day to day functions. HIPAA is a primary concern of all staff, and must be respected and is expected to be followed. Using multiple UC Irvine electronic and paper registration systems the candidate greets patients, determines insurance eligibility, schedules, reschedules, cancels and confirms appointments, follow through on messages to MDs and back to patient when directed. The candidate is responsible for insurance co-pay and deductible, as well as self-pay collections. They must have proven cash handling skills with accurate daily reconciliation.
