Advantage Technical is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Operational Technology Systems for our client onsite near Mobile, AL! A long-term opportunity with an outstanding organization!

Seeking an Engineer with a focus in Process Information Management Systems (PIMS), automation and integration. We're looking for someone that is an expert of Aspen IP.21 systems including life cycle management of PIMS architecture and automation/controls systems.

Responsibilities:


Support the Implementation, Configuration and Maintenance of Aspen IP.21 Systems, including Life Cycle Management of the PIMS Architecture

Provide end user support including:

Basic IP.21 user training

Development of Reports, support with Excel add-ins, Trend development, development of ASPEN Graphics

Providing data access to relevant systems

Modifications to the ASPEN IP.21 configuration, including addition of new tags and modification of existing tags.

Develop and maintain project documentation, including design specifications and project reports

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Ensure that all projects meet regulatory requirements, best practices, and industry standards

Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve engineering processes and procedures

Additional Information:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

* At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

* Strong knowledge of PIMS (Process Information Management Systems) preferably Aspen IP.21

* Experience leading engineering projects and initiatives

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Process Controls experience is a plus

* Experience integrating PIMS systems with various other OT Systems (ex. Automation / Controls systems).

o Experience working with OPC communication is preferred

o Experience with SQL+ is preferred
