Job Title: Senior Accountant
Work Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)
Reports to: President
Overview:
A global semi-conductor test equipment company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the complete accounting operations for their US entity. This is a standalone accounting role, reporting directly to the President. The ideal candidate has an educational background in accounting, solid accounting work experience in a manufacturing company, and is comfortable taking ownership of all accounting functions. Due to the small size of our US operations, this role will be responsible for managing all accounting processes, working in close collaboration with an external CPA firm who will provide support and guidance. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and effectively communicate with both the President and the external CPA firm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
* Manage the entire month-end and year-end closing processes, coordinating with the external CPA firm.
* Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting procedures.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for the external CPA firm, working closely with the President to provide necessary documentation and information for audits, tax preparations, and other compliance requirements. This includes actively communicating with the CPAs regarding accounting matters, seeking their advice, and implementing their recommendations.
* Assist with audits and tax preparations, working closely with the CPA firm.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
* Minimum of three (3) years of full cycle accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing industry.
* Demonstrated diligence and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of all accounting functions.
* Ability to work with a sense of urgency and process accounting data with precision.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial personnel (President) and collaborate effectively with external CPAs.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. After you have applied, download our Staffmark Group WorkNOW App to receive real-time job offers and apply for additional opportunities.
