Role: Sr. Java Full Stack Developer / Lead Java Developer

Experience: 7+ years

Roles & Responsibilities:

Having Java FSE experience 7+ years.

We are seeking an experienced Associate Architect with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills JAVA development, in Restful APIs AWS Microservices JavaScript Spring Boot and Java along with domain expertise in Cards & Payments. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to our projects and help drive innovation in the financial technology sector.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and efficient software solutions using Restful APIs AWS Microservices JavaScript Spring Boot and Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features and enhancements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and ensure best practices are followed.
• Oversee the integration of various systems and ensure seamless communication between them.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirement analysis design development testing and deployment.
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure the security performance and scalability of the applications developed.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for the solutions created.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the system to ensure it meets the business needs and technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Possess strong technical skills in Restful APIs AWS Microservices JavaScript Spring Boot and Java.
• Have domain expertise in Cards & Payments with a deep understanding of industry standards and best practices.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Show proficiency in designing and developing scalable and efficient software solutions.
• Exhibit strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Have experience in conducting code reviews and ensuring code quality.
• Display a proactive attitude towards learning and adopting new technologies and industry trends.
• Possess the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Show a commitment to maintaining technical documentation and ensuring knowledge sharing within the team.
• Demonstrate the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
• Have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Exhibit a focus on security performance and scalability in software development.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
