The Facilities Management Department is responsible for approximately 5,500,000 sq. ft. of physical space and over 1400 acres of land, located across multiple locations in Dallas County. The Landscaping Technician III position supports that effort through helping manage the college landscaping and grounds and staff. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Advanced knowledge of landscaping practices, including plant care, soil management, pest control, and seasonal grounds maintenance. This position requires a variety of physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, bending over, stooping, twisting, talking, hearing, climbing ladders, using stairs, reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, or crawling. Tasks may involve pushing or pulling 10-50 lbs., lifting 10-80 lbs., and carrying 10-50 lbs. It requires repetitive use of arms and legs, driving, balancing, and manual dexterity for fine manipulation or grasping. Work may be conducted in adverse weather conditions. Minimum Requirements:* High school diploma or GED equivalent. Key Responsibilities* Oversee the upkeep of college grounds, including mowing, edging, pruning, fertilizing, planting, and mulching.
