Job Purpose

Oversee all financial aspects of the Pinellas Park, Florida business entity and be responsible for the flow of financial information to the General Manager and to EAS Americas Finance Team. Managing the day-to-day activities of the business to ensure the company's financial activities are organized and efficient. Produce accurate monthly financial and management accounts and prepare monthly forecasts of the EAS Pinellas Park financial performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Management of the finance function; supervising and mentoring the local staff.
* Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding all the company's financial affairs (including the government contract authorities)
* Maintenance of financial ledgers, management accounts and accounting processes.
* Responsible for reporting, loading and reconciling local financial data
* Monthly preparation of P&L, balance sheet and management account support.
* This business has numerous projects and revenue is recognized based on percentage of completion. Projects need to be tracked on a monthly basis both for revenue recognition and profitability.
* Monthly financial forecasting and analysis is required and from this information, guidance on cost control / improving profitability needs to be given to operations.
* Preparation of the annual financial budget and coordination of the location's capital spending plan with the operations team
* Ensuring that internal controls are implemented, documented and maintained.
* Preparation of audit documentation, support of EnerSys tax staff for their filing compliance and timely production and/or review of account reconciliations.
* Cash management, reports and updating cash flow forecasts
* Work with operations team to establish effective cycle count program and inventory controls
* Responsible for compliance with financial requirements of the Pinellas Park entity under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) in relation to the government related business/customers.
* Assisting the Business Development team with the financial input into customer quotes and bids and particularly ensuring the information is compliant with the FAR guidance
* Coordination and review of the local hours tracking and payroll data to ensure proper government contract rates can be attained
* Ownership of the process and controls over project spending to ensure the spending charged to individual projects is accurate and appropriate for that project
* Preparation of the annual rate submission with supporting schedules to the local government contracting authority including reconciliation of the submission to the local books and supporting details.
* Integration into the EnerSys financial framework

Qualifications

* Qualified accountant with preferably a minimum of 5-7 years' experience.
* Knowledge of US GAAP
* Knowledge of US Government Federal Acquisition Regulations
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience of ERP systems and good Excel skills
* Experience with project tracking and accounting is preferred
