The Senior Vice President of IT is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the overall technology strategy and infrastructure of the company. This position will drive innovation, ensure the security and scalability of IT systems, and align technology initiatives with business objectives. This position plays a critical role in shaping Starkey's digital transformation, ensuring the IT department is a key enabler of business growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS

Technology Strategy & Leadership



  • Develop and execute the company's technology vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Lead and drive digital transformation initiatives, including convergence of IT infrastructure to managed services, cloud adoption, automation, and data analytics.
  • Oversee the global IT function, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
  • Drive digital enterprise business application transformation.
  • Provide strategic direction on emerging technologies and trends, ensuring Starkey remains competitive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.


Team Leadership & Development



  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global IT team of 150, including direct reports and cross-functional teams.
  • Build and maintain a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and accountability within the IT department.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top-tier IT talent through effective leadership and professional development programs.
  • Lead business and contract relationships with main IT service providers and large project support teams.


Cybersecurity & Risk Management



  • Ensure robust cybersecurity policies and frameworks are in place to protect Starkey's data, infrastructure, and intellectual property.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to IT systems, data privacy, and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).


Budget & Resource Management



  • Oversee the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and investments in technology.
  • Optimize IT operations to achieve both cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with business goals and optimizing the cost/value equation.


Collaboration with Executive Leadership



  • Work closely with the executive team and other senior leaders to integrate technology into the broader business strategy.
  • Communicate IT strategy, goals, and performance to the executive team.
  • Ensure that technology decisions and investments support company-wide objectives, growth, and customer satisfaction.


Innovation & Technology Adoption



  • Champion a culture of innovation, staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in IT processes and systems, leveraging automation, machine learning, and data analytics.
  • Foster collaboration between IT and business teams to identify opportunities for technological advancements that drive operational efficiency and enhance customer experiences.
  • Implement and govern IT policies and procedures.


Strategic Partner and Initiative Leadership



  • Experience in Sourcing of Software and Subscription packages from leading IT suppliers.
  • Managing the IT innovation initiative in agile configuration and implementation projects.
  • Project Sponsor for projects with Service providers.


Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements



  • Education


    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Master's degree or MBA preferred.


  • Experience


    • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership.
    • Midsize global MedTech company or as a SCM practice leader at a global consulting company preferred.



Knowledge / Technical Requirements (Certifications preferred)



  • ITIL, TOGAF, or other relevant certifications in IT service management and enterprise architecture.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certifications.
  • Experience with Business process transformation towards lean and automated digital processes


Competencies, Skills & Abilities



  • Strong understanding of current technology trends, including cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, AI/ML, data analytics, and IT security.
  • Demonstrated success in IT architecture.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, energize, mentor, and build diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership and drive organizational change through technology.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing large IT budgets and cost optimization efforts.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven strategic planning and goal setting to drive tangible results and measurable outcomes.


Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary range for this position is between $248,960 to 326,700. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include: geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.
