Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Applications are being accepted for an Assistant Athletic Trainer on the Non-Teaching Professional staff for the Department of Athletics. Assistant Athletic Trainer In order to be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement. HVCC does not support Visas. Applicants must currently hold an unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited institution. National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certified (NATABOC). Eligible for licensure in the State of New York, and current certification in First Aid CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent. Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. A deep appreciation for the collegiate athletic experience and its role in a college environment; a valid driver's license and ability to travel. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Non-traditional work schedule (nights & weekends); a willingness and ability to work outside and handle relevant equipment for such purposes also required. DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to the Athletic Trainer and the Director of Athletics and performs the following duties: 1. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training services for all NJCAA athletic programs and will be responsible for daily practice and game athletic training coverage, coordinating all treatments, and physician referrals. 6. Responsible for providing educational programs for student-athletes, coaches, and staff related to general health, current trends in sports medicine, nutrition, and sports supplements. Salary is commensurate with experience. This is a 10-month, Full-Time position with a salary range of $51,000-$52,000.
