Role Overview: The Head of Performance Accelerator will play a crucial and complementary role by evaluating the performance and process of investment teams leveraging in-depth analytics and real-time feedback mechanisms. They will analyze and provide feedback based off of our internal funds and external competitors. This leader, reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will bridge efforts between our Portfolio Management, Product Strategy, and Technology/Strategy teams by developing a best-in-class analytics platform. This platform will be designed to enhance decision-making, investment outcomes and product positioning/development across the Fundamental Equity Franchise (~$112 Billion AUS.)

Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate closely with (CIO) and PMs to identify performance improvement opportunities and implement strategic solutions to enhance investment returns. This will involve improving understanding of competition, portfolio risk and portfolio construction.
  • Partner with the Product Strategy team to gain insights into the competitive landscape, ensuring our investment strategies are well-positioned and designed to succeed in the marketplace.
  • Lead the further development and enhancement of an analytics platform by working with the Technology/Strategy team, utilizing our extensive factor and analytics capabilities.
  • Manage a specialized team, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Integrate various ongoing efforts within the organization to create a cohesive strategy for performance acceleration.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; additional certifications (e.g., CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the investment management industry, with extensive knowledge of portfolio management, financial analysis, risk management and competitor analysis.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects, particularly involving technology integration and analytics platform development.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a team in a high-stakes environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with CIO, PMs, and strategic partners. High EQ is a must.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of utilizing data to improve business outcomes.


Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
