SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE. This position is part of our Advanced Safety and User Experience segment (AS&UX) in Troy, MI. Summary: Aptiv's Advanced Safety group pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today; and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms piloting automated vehicles. The Localization Team is located in our Troy, MI Tech Center. This team provides the most advanced Mapping and Localization algorithms within Aptiv that meet the requirement of L1-L3 autonomous driving system. Responsibilities:
- Explore the cutting-edge mapping and localization technologies
- Work closely with other global teams to generate the perception roadmap
- Work closely with other team members to kick off new advanced projects
- Design, integrate, test and release algorithms to internal and external customers
- Help resolve the challenging perception problems from different global programs
- Collaborate with the downstream teams to support the L2+ and L3 autonomous driving system
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years' experience in Localization and Robotic state estimate
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree field
- Well understanding of , filtering, signal processing and Bayesian statistics
- Critical & proactive thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
- Well understanding of ASPICE
- Proficient in C++ and Matlab
- Experience with version control and issue tracking on large collaborative projects (Plastic, Git, Jira, Jenkins or similar)
- Flexibility to change to different perception tasks
- Familiar with SD and HD mapping concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in Localization software development
- MS or PhD in Engineering or relevant field
- Familiar with SD and HD mapping concepts
- Knowledge of embedded operating systems / software stacks
- Prior experience with CI/CD or build management.(eg: CMake)
- Knowledge of Machine Learning
- Familiar with Python
- Experience with ROS
- Experience in code profiling and optimization
- Experience in DevOps tools
