Minimum Experience/Education |
Graduation from credited college and two years of experience in laboratory work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. |
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: |
- BS or MS in Biology or related field, and 6 months experience in a laboratory, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is desired but not required.
- Experience with DNA extraction and PCR is preferred
- Experience with DNA sequencing is a plus
- Ability to Work on Multiple Tasks
- Good Organizational Skills
- Willingness to Assume and Learn New Responsibilities
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Demonstrate Troubleshooting Skills
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge

Duties and Responsibilities |
Under limited supervision, conducts molecular biology experiments, such as
DNA extraction,
DNA sequencing, and quantitative
PCR. Perform tests and document results on Qubit, Fragment Analyzer, automated liquid handler, and plate reader, among others. Other duties as assigned. Attendance and punctuality are required. |

- Contribute to receiving and logging of the lab supplies and consumables within an inventory
