As a Director Project Portfolio, the Incumbent will need to be able to lead and manage multiple projects (small, medium or large) within region assigned with project teams. Dealing with complex stakeholders (partners / consortiums) and possible multi business lines as part of the scope of delivery. Build, coach and manage project team within the portfolio assigned to contribute to the company's financial targets while meeting all deliverables and milestones for the projects.
Key Accountabilities:
The Incumbent has the overall projects supervision and is responsible for their region / projects P&L.
Coordinates the team regarding resources allocations within the Project Portfolio, monitors and controls of the Projects and reports the overall performance of the Portfolio.
Drive project execution and controlling until contract closure, supporting the team with a particular focus on:
Managing performance, costs, schedule, quality, and risks & opportunities mitigation actions.
Managing interface with key customers, ensuring customer satisfaction for the project(s).
Understanding product development dependencies
Implementing with the support of Operations (PMO) a solid and comprehensive EAC process, sales and cash forecasts and risks & opportunities management
Follow Group processes, methods, tools and practices to deliver projects
Monitoring the performance of the different activities in all work packages.
Ensuring lessons learned and drive Projects execution towards continuous improvement. This covers in particular direct contribution to Transformation plans and execution of postmortem Projects lesson learnt.
Managing URS Projects Management resources in their project(s), ensuring their optimum competence, development, satisfaction, supporting the Company's footprints and SBP business goals.
Ensuring the development and training of Project skills and expertise to ensure that the required level is achieved and sustained.
To possess the ability to share vision and demonstrate direction from a leadership perspective, thus fostering a single path for the projects team in their project(s). Furthermore, to show strength with compassion by creating an environment where the project team is motivated and focused on the objectives.
To display strong communications skills ensuring clarity with senior management, key customers and the projects teams of their projects.
Key Requirements
Degree or Diploma from either a Business or Technical background.
10+ years of experience working in railway transportation industry or from similar industry Technical/Aerospace field/etc.
10 to 15+ years as a Project Manager with People Management / Leadership experience
Previous experience leading international projects in a matrix environment
Excellent Communication skills and People management skills
Handle multiple Stakeholders and able to deliver under pressure.
PMP or IPMA certification.

The Company provides the following estimated compensation range and general description of benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The exact salary may vary depending on skill and experience, and the Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
Estimated Salary Range: USD $185,000 - $200,000 / year
