Accounting System Analyst

Position: Accounting System Analyst

Location: Remote

Salary Range: $84,000 - $94,000

The Accounting System Analyst will
work with the Accounting and Finance teams to administer, maintain, and
optimize Mission Essential's Deltek CostPoint ERP and related systems including
Time & Expense and Cognos Business Intelligence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Implement,
maintain, and upgrade functionality in Deltek CostPoint to streamline
accounting and other business processes, such as timekeeping parameters, project-set
up by contract type, etc.

* Coordinate
efforts with counterparts in Program Finance and other support functions

* Set up project
codes, billing formulas, and revenue formulas in the accounting system

* Assign charge
codes to employees

* Enter/update
contract modification ceiling and funding values

* Identify and
implement process improvements related to the accounting function

* Support the
accounting department in all aspects of general ledger accounting, transaction
recording, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis

* Support
fieldwork for the year-end financial audit, DCAA audits, bank examinations and
other engagements as necessary

* Interpret
financial and accounting requirements and establish system solutions to enhance
these processes

* Analyze and
interpret financial data and solve complex accounting problems as required

* Perform other
duties as assigned

* Must have previous
experience with accounting systems and processes.

* Must have an understanding
of and prior experience with government contracts

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Employee will be
required to sit for long periods of time and complete tasks using a computer.

• Associate's
  Degree in accounting, computer science, or business related field
• Five
  or more (5+) years of system experience with Deltek products
• Five
  to seven (5-7) years' minimum work experience
• Must have
  advanced capabilities with MS Excel and be able to clearly communicate results
  of analysis
