Job Title: IT Communications Analyst

Location: Northville, Michigan

Through our four business groups, DRiV, Performance Solutions, Clean Air and Powertrain, Tenneco is driving advancements in global mobility by delivering technology solutions for diversified global markets, including light vehicle, commercial truck, off-highway, industrial, motorsport and the aftermarket.

This position is responsible for the maintenance and global delivery of all Tenneco Global Information Technology communication output, both internally and externally. This resource will create and deliver emails, newsletters, and other IT based publications. They will also be responsible for the design and maintenance of the IT intranet site. The position may be based in Northville, Michigan and reports directly to the IT Director of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic
  • Copy, edit, proofread, and revise proposed internal communications
  • Design board level communication materials
  • Create, deploy and maintain Tenneco Global Information Technology Team internal and external site design and operation within the SharePoint 2016 & 2019 environments
  • Partner with Corporate Communications function to ensure adherence to defined Tenneco communication guidelines
  • Plan and deliver education courses and materials in coordination and conjunction with the Information Technology function
  • Develop fresh communication strategies and campaigns
  • Coordinates with other Tenneco functions (IT, Legal, HR, Finance, etc.) to solicit content suggestions and requirements for training, awareness or communications to Tenneco's global employees
  • All other duties as assigned



Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, organizational psychology or a related field

Experience: 5 years+ experience in PR, marketing, communications, project management, or similar experience

Skills



  • Must have general understanding of information security themes, threats, and industry standards
  • Expert work knowledge using Microsoft 365 Suite (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining intranet sites using SharePoint
  • SharePoint Modern / Designer experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to take complex concepts and translate them to a digestible format as determined by audience
  • Sensitive to the requirements and interests of others and skilled in interpreting these needs into a coherent and practical communications program
  • Ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements
  • Ability to build consensus among diverse leaders and manage sensitive situations
  • Influences decision-makers to support communication needs through use of correct tone, style, and arguments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demanding initiatives concurrently, balancing multiple priorities, working with minimal supervision and meeting deadlines
