The Department of French and Italian at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a one-year, non-renewable position as Assistant or Associate Professor of Instruction in Italian Studies. The position is open to any period, though we seek colleagues with the ability to work with students across the campus (in Comparative Literature, History, African/African Diaspora Studies, Mediterranean Studies, Asian Studies, European Studies, International Relations and Global Studies, Sustainability Studies, Art History, Anthropology, Women's and Gender Studies). Duties will include teaching Italian language courses at all levels as well as undergraduate courses in Italian culture. The position may also require teaching one graduate course. Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D., possess native or near-native fluency in Italian, and demonstrate excellence in teaching and research. Application Instructions
