The Office of Information Technology at the Dell Medical School is seeking an ERP Senior Application Analyst.

Purpose

The ERP Senior Application Analyst is responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining, and enhancing system applications and reports. This role involves performing complex systems analysis and report development while collaborating with various departments to address business challenges. The Analyst solicits and interprets requirements, proposing solutions that align with business goals and automated systems. Additionally, they document system requirements and workflows, produce necessary reports for both business and statutory needs, and conduct data analysis while establishing testing procedures and managing small to medium-scale projects with full technical responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the analysis of Workday roadmap as it relates to finance and related areas and coordinate internally within the Enterprise Applications team and externally with business owners and campus, where appropriate to prioritize, configure, test and implement these enhancements.

  • Coordinates with cross-functional and technical teams to implement solutions by configuring and administering supported systems. Facilitates requirement gathering efforts, coordinates meetings, and helps ensure timely tracking and completion of project-oriented activities. Develops process or procedure documentation, diagrams, matrices, or workflows. Tests systems to ensure expected results are met and perform technical data analysis and file validation reviews. Performs technical data analysis as well as inbound and outbound file reviews between integrated systems to ensure data accuracy.

  • Develops and creates functional specifications including process maps, business requirements documents, system configuration documents, functional design, and test plans and cases. Contributes content and guidance for the development of end user documentation, information sessions, and training.

  • Maintains knowledge of the reports, integrations and security set-up in Workday and other enterprise systems. Supports the team's internal knowledge management processes and documentation. Supports training and change management activities as needed, including the identification of gaps and development/verification or relevant content.

  • Works in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with business, campus stakeholders and internal team members to identify and implement appropriate processes and system features to meet the business needs.

  • Partners with stakeholders to prototype and configure EIBs. Troubleshoots emerging configuration and reporting issues and bugs.

  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency while supporting department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; Serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Technical Expertise: Skilled in application management and support. Proficient in SQL, Java, and other relevant programming languages. Knowledge of healthcare information systems and standards.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application problems.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Project Management:Experience in managing IT projects. Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.

  • Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams. Ability to build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6 years providing technical support and stakeholder engagement for an enterprise financial system. 2 years providing technical support and stakeholder engagement for healthcare finance and revenue cycle systems.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7 years of relevant experience, including experience with healthcare applications. Industry certifications such as VMware VCP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.

Salary Range

$110,000+ depending on qualifications
