Amplify is seeking an Events Contractor to join our marketing events team. In this role, you will assist the Director of Events in the planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of corporate events, conferences, and trade shows.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional event experiences and ensuring seamless execution of all event logistics.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in high-pressure situations. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively are essential in this role.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage event inventory, including the shipping of exhibit assets and promotional materials in Austin.

  • Place orders for trade shows and events with JPS and oversee order fulfillment.

  • Coordinate the creation and fulfillment of certificates of attendance for virtual events.

  • Assist with managing zoom webinars as needed.

  • Respond to queries in Amplify's general email inboxes.

  • Create event listings on Amplify.com event page.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a work environment.

  • Proficiency with Google Suite and familiarity with other relevant technologies.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy in all aspects of event planning and execution.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle last-minute changes and unexpected challenges.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience planning and executing both live and virtual events.

  • Experience in the K-12 education sector.

  • Familiarity with Wordpress.

  • Experience with Zoom and/or Crowdcast.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this role is $30.00.

This position may be funded, in whole or in part, through American Recovery & Reinvestment Act funds.
