Java/AWS Developer

We are looking for a skilled Java/AWS Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications. You will work on both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.

Location: Chicago, IL.

**Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future**

The candidate must be at the office for 5 days.

Responsibilities

* Involve in various phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work in a highly dynamic Agile environment

* Design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices

* Hands on AWS experience in EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, AWS Aurora Postgres, AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog, AWS Security groups, AWS MSK(Kafka)

* Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software

* Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues

* Adds value to team delivery and works with team to complete tasks to high quality and actively learns new skills.

Qualifications

* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

* 10+ years of software development experience

* Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Invest API, Oracle, Kafka

* Experienced with AWS cloud technologies (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, terraform). AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification preferred.

* Good to have experience in any of the rules engine (Ex. Drools)

* Good to have experience in JPMC on-premises cloud (Gaia)

* Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins

* Strong communication skills and experience in delivering projects in Scrum agile methodology.

* Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving

* Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail oriented.

Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until May 12, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422K- $141,500K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
