Lead DeltaV Automation Engineer (Hybrid) Cognizant's Digital Engineering

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead DeltaV Automation Engineer with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and own the technical aspects of the project.
  • Work closely with Program technical offices to ensure alignment with the overall automation philosophy and standards.
  • Partner with Digital/MES workstream leads to synchronize automation and digital solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance to area leads, ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Ensure uniformity in automation deliverables, including requirements, functional specifications, control strategies, phases, and recipes.
  • Participate in P&ID and control strategy reviews, and assist in defining necessary software components.
  • Report progress, issues, and needs to the automation project manager.
  • Provide input, review, and approve functional requirements and specifications.
  • Aid in the creation of Parameter and Recipe Specification documents and respond to system integrator technical queries.
  • Support the development of software testing strategies and identify remediation efforts for process control software.
  • Create and manage items in the issue tracker post-software acceptance.
  • Identify and analyze technical risks and plan responses.
  • Maintain compliance with training requirements.
Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years in Automation within the Pharmaceutical Industry, preferably in API/bulk manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in large Pharmaceutical Automation projects/programs.
  • Proficiency with Delta V DCS and preferably Allen-Bradley PLCs.
  • Exceptional ability to work in teams.
  • Strong understanding of GMPs, regulatory requirements, and computer system validation principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
