PacificWest is hiring Project Managers to join our team. This position requires frequent travel up to 30% to 50%, including overnight stays is required.

The Project Manager coordinates all aspects of project execution, ensuring a smooth transition from the design phase to the installation and on-going service and support phase of the completed project. This includes, but is not limited to, advising and assisting the Engineer in estimating and managing the account, conferring with engineering personnel on technical information, procuring and managing outside contractors, scheduling project phases and training customers' maintenance personnel. The Project Manager manages all aspects of project finances including change management, revenue projections, customer billings, and quarterly updates. The Project Manager acts as primary point of contact for all internal personnel, external contractors, subcontractors and customer agents to coordinate all aspects of project installation. Ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and that customers are satisfied with both the installation process and the end result is a primary objective of the Project Manager.

The essential functions of the position include:



  • Lead cost estimating, project management, and delivery of projects at large federal, commercial, and institutional facilities with minimal support
  • Manage all contracts administration, financial, and implementation aspects of assigned projects
  • Provide client facing communications including regular updates and strategy discussions
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with existing clients to support continued sales growth
  • Manage subcontractor relationships including trades contractors and other project related consultants
  • Responsible for client facing report and project update preparation
  • Responsible for developing cost estimates in conjunction with engineering development team
  • Perform site inspections, equipment inventories, measurements, and data collection using digital camera, digital tablets, and/or handwritten notes
  • Write scope of work and supporting documents to be included in report submissions
  • Responsible for bid process oversight, bid document development, contractor site walks, proposal review, selections, and subcontract execution
  • Manage project resources and expense budgets
  • Quality assurance reviews of internal work and client facing work product
  • Understand all aspects of the Company Employee Handbook and pertinent Company systems and processes
  • Timely submission of expenses and timesheets
  • Other tasks as assigned


Your background includes:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical, or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of industry experience with 2+ years working with public agency clients
  • Fluent with local building and energy codes
  • California Division of the School Architect (DSA) and other local government building design and permitting experience
