Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of IT Systems to oversee our organization's IT infrastructure, with a particular focus on cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have managerial experience in the IT field and a proven track record of successfully managing IT operations and teams. This is a remote position, must be willing to support our west coast core hours of 8am-5pm PST.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee and lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability
- IT Strategy: Develop and execute IT strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives, including cloud migration and digital transformation initiatives
- Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on IT projects, performance, and issues
- Security Management: Implement and manage security protocols to protect the organization's data and systems from cyber threats
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Maintain and develop effective BCDR plans for all responsible services as needed
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of IT services and solutions
- Budget Management: Develop and manage a budget for I&O systems, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications
- Ability to embrace change, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic corporate environment
- Skill in working harmoniously within cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Possesses attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers and with outside agencies, partners, shareholders, and business associates
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to adapt messages and strategies for diverse audiences
- Strong proficiency in standard software applications, including Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of managerial experience in IT, with a strong emphasis on cloud infrastructure, BCDR, and budgeting
- Proven experience in leading and managing IT teams
- Strong knowledge of Information Security
- Experience with and adherence to compliance frameworks: (CMMC Level 2, GovHigh, 32CFR, CUI, FedRAMP, NIST-800, PCI-DSS, HIPAA/HITECH, SOC 1 & SOC 2) and internal security
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Information Technology or related field in business.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, ITIL, CISM, or equivalent certifications are a plus
- Previous experience working with Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs)
- Previous government contracting experience
Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $129,500 to $187,800annually. At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
