Overview

Remote (U.S. Based) | Some Travel Required

LMI is a consultancy dedicated to improving the business of government, drawing from deep expertise in advanced analytics, digital services, logistics, and management advisory services. Established in 1961, LMI is a trusted third party to federal civilian, national security, and defense agencies, operating free of commercial and political bias. For nearly 60 years, LMI has worked with 40 government agencies. We believe government can make a difference, and we seek talented, hardworking, mission-driven people who share that conviction.

Who We Are

We're not here to maintain the status quo - we're here to rewrite it and innovate at the pace of need. Our team is laser-focused on creating cutting-edge RFID solutions for the DoD that bring passive and active RFID tech to life, solving tough integration challenges across global sites. We're a no-bench, get-after-it kind of company where initiative is rewarded, and innovation is our default setting. If you're ready to dive in, take ownership, and ship real value, keep reading.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Software Engineer with deep Vue.js experience to join our core application team. You'll work alongside product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to ship real features fast - everything from UI enhancements and API integrations to data models and deployment automation.

If you're comfortable jumping between front-end polish and backend logic, and you want to work on a mission-driven app used by real operators in the field - we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Build new features in Vue.js with reusable components and clean, maintainable code.
  • Support backend logic using .NET Core and relational databases (SQL Server).
  • Integrate with APIs and manage data flows across the stack.
  • Collaborate across design, product, and DevSecOps to get features shipped fast and securely.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests as part of a TDD workflow.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, optimize performance, and ensure accessibility and compliance standards (e.g., 508).
  • Contribute to design and development reviews, offering Vue expertise and implementation insights.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Vue.js, including component-based architecture, Vuetify for UI components, and state management with libraries such as Vuex or Pinia.
  • Experience with .NET Core/C# and building RESTful APIs.
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server preferred).
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and secure deployment practices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating on cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance required. Active Secret or TS clearance preferred.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience deploying applications into secure environments (DoD, IL5+, FedRAMP).
  • Familiarity with Section 508 compliance and accessibility best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, Entity Framework, LINQ, and test frameworks like NUnit.
  • Certifications like Security+, AWS, or Scrum preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting government contracts or defense customers.
  • Previous startup environment experience.

Target salary range: $99,161.74 - $171,168.42
