Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States. We are seeking an experienced Pega IT Manager to lead enterprise-wide Pega initiatives, drive digital transformation, and oversee the successful delivery of complex Pega solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic leadership, and stakeholder management, ensuring Pega platforms align with business goals and IT roadmaps. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Pega PRPC, Case Management and Decisioning along with strong leadership in managing technical teams and projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive Pega strategy and roadmaps aligned with enterprise digital transformation goals.
- Collaborate with executives, business leaders, and IT stakeholders to define Pega's role in business growth.
- Advocate for Pega best practices, emerging technologies, and innovation to optimize automation and decisioning.
- Lead large-scale Pega implementations, cloud transformations, and modernization initiatives.
- Oversee Pega solution architecture, scalability, and governance, ensuring compliance with IT standards.
- Provide guidance on Pega upgrades, migrations, and integrations with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, APIs, microservices, databases).
- Champion DevOps, CI/CD, and automation practices to enhance Pega development efficiency.
- Ensure Pega applications meet security, performance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Lead and manage multiple Pega projects and teams, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Establish KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics for tracking project success and system performance.
- Collaborate with Agile and SAFe teams to implement efficient Pega development and deployment processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimization of Pega delivery methodologies.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT leadership, and third-party vendors for Pega-related initiatives.
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and relationships for Pega licensing, support, and managed ser4obrvices.
- Ensure business alignment by communicating Pega's value, progress, and impact to senior leadership.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks, security policies, and compliance guidelines for Pega solutions.
- Monitor system health, resolve performance bottlenecks, and drive proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct periodic audits, technical reviews, and performance assessments to ensure best practices are followed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years in Pega architecture and leadership roles.
- Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification preferred.
- Expertise in Pega PRPC, BPM, AI/Decisioning and Workflow Automation.
- Strong experience in managing enterprise-scale Pega implementations and migrations.
- Deep understanding of cloud-based Pega solutions (AWS, Azure, Pega Cloud, GCP).
- Proven ability to lead large cross-functional teams and drive IT transformation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and leadership skills.
- Previous experience managing or leading and coaching both people and processes

Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
