Drafting Technician - Crosby, TX

JOB
TITLE - Drafting Technician
The draftsman will play a crucial role in our team by
creating 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models based on samples for the
manufacturing of rotating equipment parts. Equipment will include precision
geared compressors, pumps, steam turbines and cryogenic expander turbines.
Working closely with other draftsmen and engineers, they will ensure designs
meet industry standards and specifications. Proficiency in Solidworks and
AutoCAD, along with knowledge of how to use metrology tools, is essential.

Essential
Function
Create & edit detailed 2D and 3D
CAD drawings and models using Solidworks and AutoCAD software.
Collaborate with coworkers to understand design
requirements and specifications.
Perform design reviews to prevent nonconformance and make
necessary revisions.
Use metrology tools to validate and verify design
dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain organized documentation of designs,
revisions, and projects.
Must be able to read and comprehend equipment
manuals and drawings.
Effectively communicates verbally with co-workers
and supervisors.

Qualifications
High School Diploma required; must be able to read
and write in English.
Technical /Associate's degrees in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering or related are preferred.

Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
AutoCAD: 1-3 years (Required)
Solidworks: 1-3 years (Required)
Metrology Tool Proficiency (Micrometers & Calipers)
Microsoft Office Proficiency
This position
requires working in a clean, temperature-controlled repair facility. Standard
hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7AM through 3:30PM and applicant will
be expected to work if an emergency repair is taking place. An emergency repair
can occur at any time or day including after normal working hours and weekends.
