Position Summary The Senior Analyst Engine Programs reports to and supports the Manager of Engine Procurement Programs, Technical Operations in the preparation and execution of strategic projects and commercial transactions involving engine maintenance, engine platform selection, engine sales and purchases. The Senior Analyst leverages spend analytics and market intelligence to develop commercial strategy recommendations for the Technical Operations department. The role involves working closely with JetBlue's Strategic Sourcing, Engineering, Legal, Corporate Finance and Treasury teams, among other groups. This role is responsible for mining data, both structured and unstructured to extract actionable knowledge using statistical analyses and other quantitative measures to develop and maintain the Engine Programs dashboard(s). Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of a long-term integrative engine fleet strategy, working alongside JetBlue's Structural Programs and Technical Operations groups
- Conduct analysis for commercial recommendations on all current and future engine platforms, including the facilitation, preparation and conduct of negotiations on engine maintenance agreements
- Prepare financial and operational risk analysis for engine maintenance projects and commercial transactions involving procurement or sale of spare engines
- Function as liaison between Technical Operations' tactical and strategic teams
- Partner with members from Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Legal, Finance and Accounting teams
- Maintain relationships with key existing and potential future business partners, including engine Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and engine maintenance providers
- Assists in defining data requirements as well as gathers and validates information, applying judgement and statistical tests to ensure data integrity
- Acquires business knowledge in depth as well as gathers and analyzes complex information about all engines and related components, using variety of internal and external sources
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Engineering; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
- Three (3) years of analytical and modeling experience in finance, strategic sourcing or equivalent
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Tableau, Power BI or equivalent
- Strong analytical, data, numerical, quantitative, reasoning, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong financial, quantitative and data analysis skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage project communications and stakeholder expectations
- Demonstrated experience in presenting results of work to an organizations senior leadership team
- Available for occasional overnight travel (20%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business (incl. Accounting, Economics and Finance) or Engineering
- Knowledge of aviation maintenance contracts and different financial and operational structures
- Experience in negotiating and managing maintenance agreements, preferably in aviation
- Specific experience with engine maintenance, engine manuals and documentation
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and database administration, including applications beyond Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated experience in presenting results of work to an organizations executive leadership team

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $56,500.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
