JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Altoona, a public related institution invites candidates for the job of Head Women's Soccer Coach (part-time). Reports directly to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the management of all aspects of the women's soccer program. Duties include, but will not be limited to: Game coaching Recruitment of student athletes Scheduling Practice Sessions Coordination of scouting and film exchange Team travel Supporting student-athletes Supervision of assistant coaches Qualifications Ability to physically demonstrate complex movements and skills on the practice field required Candidate must have demonstrated success in a soccer program at the college or an equivalently high level, including evidence of successful student retention and team success Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate and develop Division III student-athletes Knowledge of the sport and a verifiable ability to teach both fundamentals and strategies of the game is necessary. This person must possess a working knowledge of NCAA rules, a commitment to high academic standards, and the NCAA Division III philosophy A successful candidate will have a reputation for integrity. Penn State Altoona a member of the NCAA Division III, and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). Typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid USdriver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be requiredin addition to standard background checks.
