POSITION SUMMARY: After orientation to the department, the resident begins a series of rotations and other activities designed to meet the goals and objectives of Boston Medical Center's (BMC) pharmacy practice residency program. Acute care (inpatient) rotations include but are not limited to: Medicine, Hematology/Oncology, Pediatrics, and Infectious Diseases. Critical care rotations include the MICU, SICU, CCU, PICU, NICU, and emergency medicine. Ambulatory care rotations include the anticoagulation monitoring service, outpatient oncology, HIV clinic, and primary care. Throughout the year, the resident meets objectives in practice management and drug policy development by participating in MUE program, drug policy projects, quality management program, and by completing various administrative and management projects. In addition, the resident meets the objectives for hospital practice by staffing in both decentralized and central pharmacy positions, along with participating in any on-call programs. Position: Pharmacy Resident PGY-1 Department: Inpatient Pharmacy Schedule: Full Time JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Must have PharmD from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Must have a MA Pharmacist License by the hire date.
