Director, NA Program Excellence Office

SUMMARY

The Director, Program Excellence Office oversees and ensures the highest standards of project execution, strategic alignment, and operational efficiency within the North America organization. They will be responsible for establishing the Program Management and Change Management office to drive excellence across all regional programs including program and change governance, project portfolio management, investment management, training, and development for better project execution and user adoption cross-functionally. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual with extensive experience in program and change management, strategic planning, and process improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Align program goals with the organization's overall strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of programs and initiatives, adjusting as necessary.
Operational Management
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Program Excellence Office.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Implement best practices and methodologies for program management.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of program managers and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for program management team members, operational and functional teams.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, department heads, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for program initiatives.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Risk Management
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with program execution.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, change management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a team with proven track record of resource development and continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex programs.
  • Experience in strategic planning and process improvement.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION

  • Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP) is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools

  • Occasional travel and extended hours to meet project deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
