Under general supervision, the Front Desk Coordinator provides essential administrative and clerical support to the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Center. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients, providers, and staff, managing all interactions with professionalism and efficiency. The role requires multitasking, problem-solving, and maintaining confidentiality while offering excellent customer service and assisting with various office functions. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage patient information in Epic, ensuring data is up-to-date and accurate. Maintain and update clinic databases and provider schedules. Assist in coordinating purchases and monitoring office supplies. Sorting/distributing mail. Process release of information requests. Greet and check in patients, ensuring smooth registration. Serve as the primary point of contact for phone inquiries and patient interactions, addressing questions, providing information, and routing requests appropriately. Manage complex calendars and assist with scheduling meetings. Troubleshoot problems and maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in all aspects of the role, with professionalism and discretion. Coordinate and ensure all patient appointments have necessary authorizations and referrals, collect co-pays and ensure that patient registration information is updated. Scan incoming medical and insurance documents. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth clinic operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $33,900 - $72,996 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $16.24 - $34.96 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
