At Kraton, we make a Positive Difference, and we are looking for individuals who are also looking to make a difference in their jobs, for our customers and to the world. We are looking to hire a key member of our R&D team at our Kraton Innovation Center in West Houston.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Responsibilities



  • Manage & Coordinate all external maintenance contractors, such as plumbing, pipefitting, fire safety inspections
  • Develop and implement schedule and oversee: larger HVAC repairs, outside contractors, lab equipment utility connects, chiller/elevator/boiler/generator/electrical switchgear maintenance
  • Conduct minor maintenance to building systems, such as HVAC and changing out filters, light bulbs, fixtures
  • Coordination of Fire life safety inspections
  • Upkeep of building life safety
  • Manage pest control
  • Fire alarm monitoring coverage & management
  • Act as a liaison between the HSES & Facilities Manager and building Management Company on issues related to the facility including but not limited to:
  • Conducting walk-throughs of areas to ensure no hazards exist.
  • Landlord Vendor approval
  • Meeting with vendors or contractors who are onsite to do repairs.


Warehouse Responsibilities



  • Obtain and process orders and returns; including but not limited to receiving deliveries, registering them, storing them, and/or distributing packages or coordinating pick up of packages.
  • Maintain the company stockrooms/storage areas/racking through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items on a regular basis. Following through with emails on items needing replenishing and following up with appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items.
  • Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling i.e. troubleshoot shipping issues that arise and work to solve them.
  • Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility or racks by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods.
  • Coordinate all hazardous and nonhazardous waste from all areas from the facility to waste room.
  • Inspect dumpsters to ensure nothing is inadvertently placed in them.
  • Must meet with all vendors related to shipping & receiving and waste activities.


Additional duties as assigned to safely perform.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Basic MS Office required
  • FedEx Software a plus
  • Forklift usage - must be comfortable operating a forklift
  • Required Experience/Skills (license not required)

Education, Certifications & Licenses

Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
