We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Technician to join our team at Albuquerque Ambulance Service. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the quality of our vehicles and supplies. You will perform various tasks related to cleaning, stocking, and inspecting ambulances and other company vehicles, using OSHA-compliant cleaning agents.

Type of Opportunity: Full Time (1.0 FTE/39-40 hours per week) Work Schedule: (4) 10-hour swing shift Tuesday-Friday 1300-2330

Shift Differentials

  • $1.75/hr Night Differential, earned on eligible night hours, stacks on base rate.
  • $1.50/hr Weekend Differential, earned on eligible weekend hours, stacks on base rate.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current New Mexico driver's license is required (out-of-state candidates have 30 days from date of hire to obtain) without relevant restrictions
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a driving record insurable per Presbyterian policy
  • Specialized short-term training in Stocking practices required within nine (9) months of start date
  • Current NM EMT-Basic License or completion of the course is preferred


Responsibilities

  • Wash, vacuum, clean, and wax ambulances and service vehicles as per maintenance schedules.
  • Clean and inspect the exterior of vehicles using OSHA-compliant cleaning agents.
  • Obtain certification to operate the Bioquell system within three months of hire.
  • Report any new damage or safety hazards to the Supervisor.
  • Check and verify fluid levels during daily inspections.
  • Clean and inspect emergency lights, sirens, turn signals, engine belts, tires, batteries, and headlights daily or as assigned.
  • Maintain inventory and control costs by tracking supplies used by field staff.
  • Oversee compliance with check-out and check-in procedures, logging stock use via the company's computer scanning system.
  • Provide weekly inventory for ordering supplies and monitor usage to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Maintain, clean, and check the functionality of all equipment, including pulse oximetry, cardiac monitors, laptops, batteries, suction units, and IV pumps.
  • Use CDC-compliant cleaners and disinfectants to meet OSHA standards for biohazards.
  • Perform scheduled and random audits of drug boxes to ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.
  • Document rotation, replacement, and expiration control of all pharmaceuticals, including narcotics.
  • Use the McKesson Narcstation for checking in and out narcotics, performing audits, and refilling used narcotics.
