Role Summary

As the Service Backorder Specialist you will be on the front lines providing support for our customers and educating the
Rivian community on our continuously growing products and services. You will be a leader in driving
our customer service philosophy. The opening will be located at our Shepherdsville, Kentucky facility and reports
directly to a Service Supervisor.


Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all backorders for all customers internal and external
  • Manage day to day backorder lines incoming through all customer channels running reports via SAP
    and track the service emergency backorder process E2E
  • Acts as a liaison between service parts and field operations to resolve part backorders and
    allocations
  • Maintain and report out backorder to fulfillment metrics to service parts and field operations
    leadership
  • Identify continues improvement techniques in both systems and process to streamline the overall
    order to fullfiment execution
  • Support extraordinary backorder escalations
  • Collaborate with NPI/Supply Chain/Service engineering to help unblock part flow
  • Provide visibility to internal and external customers of status of open backorders
  • Obtain parts recovery information from material planners to mitigate current & future backorders
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the position

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field from an accredited university or college required
  • 2+ years professional experience in supply chain distribution/fulfillment environment. Automotive, e-commerce preferred
  • Demonstrates fundamental understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Materials Management foundational principles.
  • Proven customer support skills with a focus on customer quality customer service.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as SAP, Oracle experience preferred.
  • Familarity with order mangement systems is a bonus
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to shift priorities, work independently and in a group setting, prioritize work and problem solve in a fast paced, fluid environment
  • Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like, lifting up to 40lbs.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Illinois Based Applicants: $24.63 - $30.79 per hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment
