Janitor - Part Time Job Summary: Performs general cleaning in office, warehouse and other building interiors to maintain a clean, orderly, and functional condition. Essential job Duties and Functions: Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms/breakrooms/kitchen areas/ using established practices and procedures; follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies Clean, dust and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors, empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill restrooms and breakrooms/lunchrooms paper towel dispensers Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, mops, squeegees, vacuum for cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc. Clean windows as required Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals Other duties as assigned Essential Skills, Behaviors, and Competencies: Managing one's own time and the time of others to ensure efficiency. Willingness to perform work accurately and thoroughly. High attention to detail. Employee must be able to: Model behaviors of reliability as outlined in Company Attendance Policy. Qualification and Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent, preferred. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
