The Opportunity: Patient Care Associate - Lunder 10 HEMOC
Lunder 10 is an integrated thirty-two bed inpatient hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant unit that serves a young adult to elderly patient population. Patients are frequently followed from time of diagnosis or referral through end of life. Many patients have a diagnosis of leukemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, sarcoma, or multiple myeloma. The Patient Care Associate (PCA) will assist the RNs in the Lunder 10 with a variety of functions including phlebotomy and EKGs, transport patients, check rooms and equipment, assist patients with dressing and feeding and some clerical functions. Our Patient Care Associate team prides themselves in responding to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner.
