Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, under general supervision, plan, schedule and coordinate production of printed materials, design, prepress or printing services per customers' needs and/or project requirements. Provide consultation when receiving requests for print/design projects (by mail, phone and in-person), may provide estimates or confer with estimators, and enter into internal job management system; monitor progress of projects throughout production, confers with production management when problems arise to ensure production deadlines are met, keeps clients informed of job status, and perform other duties associated with the job intake process. Provide other associated administrative and production task support as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

* Bachelor's degree in related area and /or equivalent experience / training.
* Experience with printing and production procedures.
* Experience in a customer service driven environment.
* Knowledge of production processes such as pre-press, press, bindery, digital copying, etc.
* Skills to review print specifications and provide estimates.
* Oral and written communication skills to develop print instructions, proposals and estimates and convey them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Working knowledge of computer software and e mail programs, i.e., Outlook, MS-Word, Excel, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge to interpret client's files via electronic submission, CDs, disks, printing negatives, blue lines and color proofs (color keys, Match Prints, Cromalins, Iris prints, etc.) and paper characteristics.
* Organizational skills to achieve timely progress on multiple simultaneous complex projects, distribute effort among the projects, meet tight deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity.
* Knowledge of campus departments and environment.
* Skills to make group presentations. Decision making and problem solving skills.
* Analytical skills to exercise independent judgment in problem solving, remain objective and represent differing points of view.

Repro Graphics, a division of the Campus Planning and Community Resources, provides design, print and copy services to the campus and UCDMC community. This position supports the planning and completion of services offered.

Work Environment
