One Nevada Credit Union has an excellent career opportunity for a Dealer Loan Processing Technician I who will verify, and fund approved automotive loans, provide regulatory and internal compliance review on loan documentation, and process and fund dealer loans in accordance with Credit Union lending procedures, policies and guidelines. Candidates must have two years progressively responsible experience in dealer loan processing and a high school diploma/equivalent.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production 65%

* All credit offerings received by corporate office are to be accurately prepared and given the necessary checks. Ensure an appropriate turn around time to the dealer.

* Inputs, processes, and funds dealer loan requests;

* Corresponds with dealer personnel via Dealertrack and CUDL, email, phone or fax to obtain required documentation to process and fund loans;

* Review of all contracts received within 3 days for completeness, proper signatures, accuracy, approval/condition and compliance with Truth-in-Lending. Refer all problem contracts to the appropriate supervisor.

* Verify that all stipulations on approve or conditioned loan packages are received and verified, exceptions should be brought to an underwriter for final approval.

* Answer incoming calls in a prompt and courteous manner

* Process and mail adverse action letters.

* Follow for the insurance binders on Indirect loans after funding and route to Allied accordingly;

* Call customers currently coded for no insurance to see if they have insurance and once the information is obtained, forward to Allied accordingly;

* Order and maintain supplies for Consumer Loan Underwriting department within established department budget;

* Receives and distribute mail for Consumer Loan Underwriting department;

* Communicates with dealerships and members for follow-up of required or incorrect information for loan requests;

* Places all confidential information and loan files in loan vault and secures loan vault door at end of work day;

* Performs opening, balancing and closing branch procedures;

* Draft updates to desk top procedures on new products;

* Prepare loan packages to be scanned in accordance with policy and procedures.

* Train other employees; and

* Performs the duties of the Consumer Loan Processing Technician I and II as needed; Performs other duties as assigned.

Quality Control 35%

* Verifies accuracy of information on quality control form and in automated credit system.

* Reviews completed loan packages for signatures, accuracy and adherence to Credit Union policies and guidelines;

* Reviews all funded automotive loans for compliance to state and federal laws and regulations;

* Understanding of title documents to meet requirements of various states to complete title perfection;

* Communicates with branches and members for follow-up on loan packages for inaccurate or missing information of required; and

* Verifies accuracy of information requested prior to releasing information or making changes to member loan accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Understanding of consumer lending procedures;

* Understanding of dealer loan processing procedures;

* Understanding of documentation and title perfection requirements for different states' Department of Motor Vehicle offices;

* Thorough knowledge of automated consumer lending systems;

* Thorough knowledge of compliance and ONCU policy and procedures as it relates to document processing;

* Thorough knowledge of alpha filing system;

* Knowledge of personal computer and the ability to create reports and documents;

* Skill in the operation of a personal computer to include Internet/Intranet, operating system, word processing, calendar, and scheduling software;

* Ability to operate a fax, photocopy machine, and various office equipment;

* Ability to calculate income;

* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and members;

* Ability to prioritize work flow and handle multiple tasks;

* Ability to lift 25 pounds;

* Ability to maintain regularly scheduled attendance;

* Ability to train other employees utilizing a training plan and current procedures; and

* Must be able to relate appropriately to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with dealership personnel, co-workers, and/or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instruction, and communicating with others; and (c) respond appropriately to constructive feedback from a supervisor.
