International Business Compliance Analyst

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm

OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time International Business Compliance Analyst, you will enjoy the opportunity to work with corporate and regional based accounting, tax, information technology, sales, and operational leadership while ensuring compliance with United States and International regulations to support the growth initiatives of Fastenal's world-wide locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

oEngaging with the process owner and IT to align interpretation and implementation of agreed upon actions within an acceptable timeline

oReviewing policies, procedures, accounting documents and training materials to identify and remediate risk

oEnsuring effective controls are developed and maintained to support international regulations and initiatives

oParticipating in development projects during all the phases of planning, testing and implementation

oIdentifying, researching and evaluating potential risks and regulatory changes

oCommunicating regulatory changes to management and other stakeholders

oPreparing summaries on existing and upcoming regulatory issues

oAssisting in implementation of required changes

oProviding employee training on compliance policies

oPerforming other administrative tasks and special projects as necessary

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The skills and qualifications for this position include:

oPossess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Analytics, Business Law or related degree OR have relevant work experience in accounting, tax, law, and/or project management

oProficient using Microsoft Office Suite

oLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

oWork independently as well as in a team environment

oDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

oExcellent written and oral communication skills

oExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

oHighly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

oDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

oPass the required drug test (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

oProficient using Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneNote, and/or project management software solutions

oProven project management experience in multi-phase systems design, development and implementation

oExperience researching legal, accounting, tax, and other regulatory compliance matters

oExperience using PeopleSoft or other similar ERP system(s)

FULL-TIME BENEFITS:

Fastenal offers a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees. This package includes Health, Life, Long Term Disability, and Dental Insurance, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and 401(k) with an employer contribution.

COMPENSATION:

The base pay range for this position is $41,000 - 51,250. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
