Benefits Associate - HR

Summary:

In this role, you will serve as a point of contact for the internal HR operations team and handle escalated employee benefits issues. You will provide guidance, address employee inquiries about benefits, and collaborate with vendors, brokers, and carriers to resolve concerns efficiently. You will support benefits administration, invoicing, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with HRMS to ensure the effective and ongoing administration of benefits plans in Workday. This includes reviewing discrepancy reports, integration files, and report reconciliation.
  • Process billing and administrative fees for all carriers with accounts payable, ensuring payments are reconciled, timely processed, and accurately documented.
  • Assist in compiling and filing payments for workers' compensation, disability benefits, and paid family leave across all mandated states.
  • Support the internal HR operations team in managing workers' compensation cases as needed.
  • Assist with open enrollment & benefits communications.
  • Assist with transactional activities during open enrollment and other annual projects.
  • Contribute to ongoing benefits communication efforts, including regularly updating the Benefits Hub on the intranet, assisting with benefit education webinars, and monitoring Q&A forums.
  • Update summary plan documents, SBCs, SOPs and other materials with the carriers on an annual basis.
  • Assist with ad hoc reconciliation and reporting as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as payroll and HR operations on benefits-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred in HR or relevant field.
  • 3 or more years in benefits administration required.
  • Experience working in a corporate HR environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of benefits policies and regulations
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong expertise in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $59,600.00 to $101,200.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
