Transportation Analyst

We're looking to hire a talented Transportation Analyst based in Denton, TX.

Reporting to the Regional Manager the Transportation Analystplays a critical role in optimizing and streamlining the company's logistics operations through data-driven insights and advanced analytical techniques.

Primary Duties
  • Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities for improvement in transportation and inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain logistics performance metrics and reports to aid in decision making.
  • Oversee and manage air, ocean, and road shipments, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Evaluate, select, and maintain relationships with carriers to ensure competitive pricing, service reliability, and alignment with operational needs.
  • Apply a deep understanding of Incoterms to determine appropriate shipping terms, responsibilities, and costs for each shipment.
  • Ensure all transportation activities comply with trade regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards.
  • Stay updated on transportation regulations, tariffs, and trade policies to ensure compliance in international shipments.
  • Investigate and implement new technologies or process improvements that streamline transportation management and reduce costs.
  • Support procurement, demand planning, and other supply chain functions by providing logistics-related insights.
  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel-based reports and dashboards to track transportation performance, including cost per shipment, on-time delivery, and service levels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain analysis.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex data analysis).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex data.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations, shipping methods, and inventory management.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Speak, Read and Write English
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred
  • Certification in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management (e.g., Certified Transportation Professional, preferred.)
  • Knowledge of customs procedures and trade compliance regulations is preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • On-site position; no remote work opportunities.
  • Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment 'PPE' when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to printer, tablets, cell phones.

Pay Range:

$67,309.00-$78,306.00
