Overview

Implement and manage client relationships with assigned accounts to ensure quality service, maximum account expansion/penetration, retention and profitability.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas. This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company's financial goal achievement and individual performance.



Responsibilities

    Develop and maintain client relationships at decision-maker level to maximize revenue and client retention.
  • Formulate and manage business plans with clients that will support continuous improvement, decreased cost, and overall support of client organizational business objectives.
  • Execute and conduct thorough account reviews that demonstrate value of a consolidated managed travel program.
  • Initiate and perform consultation that provides optimal support and savings of the client's preferred vendor programs. (air, car, hotel, credit card)
  • Consult on travel management practices, including policy compliance and cost savings.
  • Maintain client database of negotiated programs and services.
  • Act as project owner for online booking product implementation and enhancement.
  • Communicate project progress and status updates to management.
  • Facilitate client education on travel-related opportunities and challenges.
  • Differentiate ALTOUR's value propositions effectively.
  • Gain deep understanding of clients' businesses to influence travel decisions.
  • Cross-sell ALTOUR services and expand business travel market knowledge.
  • Conduct data consolidation and business analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Negotiate profitable contracts and manage partnership satisfaction.
  • Manage global portfolios for partner agencies and customers.
  • Working with local partner to:
    • Ensure consistent service across program,
    • Travel technology/products is implemented in-market where appropriate (e.g. rate re-shopping or sustainability solutions), and
    • SLAs are reported on as per contract.
  • Reviewing consolidated data to:
    • Share best practice on cost reductions and
    • Review data holistically for vendor agreement opportunities.


Qualifications

  • Preferred college degree.
  • Preferably 10 years of experience in business management, sales, or consulting.
  • Proven strong sales acumen with results.
  • Strong understanding of financial travel program drivers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience in hospitality or travel industry.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to influence decision-makers and drive results.
  • Knowledge of ALTOUR products and services.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify revenue opportunities.
  • 3-4 years of travel experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of ALTOUR corporate products and services.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of the travel industry and competitive business travel issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills to work effectively with corporate clients, sales management, information technology and client services staff.
  • Experience using a CRM is desirable.
  • Experience with various industry technologies such as GDS, Back-office, travel management reporting tools, online booking tools, mobile apps and others that apply.
  • Evidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality.
  • Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
